It seems a San Diego, Ca. pizzaria owner is adding his own ‘special ingedient’ to the pizza sauce. Allegedly. The owner of ‘Jersey Joes Pizzaria’ denies he’s the one in the photo seen circulating the internet. Really… It seems more than a few customers watched this and other lewd acts through an unsecured wireless video feed and commented about it on Yelp. ‘I was setup!’, Giusepp “Jersey Joe” Scire cries after ‘recently firing two guys’. I for one will be lining up for this weeks special, New York Style with pepperoni and extra white sauce…
UPDATE – 08/15/13 – Hey, this pizza / webcam thing is catching on! How ’bout some hot lesbian action while you’re chow’n down…
The DOJ is considering Federal Civil Rights Violation charges against George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Can’t say I’m surprised; this administration will do anything to grab some headlines. My issue is that Attorney General Eric Holder is promising ‘compassion’ and ‘truth’ in the DOJ’s investigation of the matter. Truth?! I don’t believe that for one second. Where is the ‘truth’ about the ‘fast-and-furious’ guns in Mexico scandal? Where is the ‘truth’ about the Benghazi cover up? Where is the ‘truth’ about the IRS scandal? Where is the ‘truth’ about the NSA surveillance programs? This administration is using Holder as it’s puppet to drive a media campaign designed to appease those who disagree with the verdict. What about double-jeopardy? Zimmerman was found not guilty! Move on! If the DOJ charges Zimmerman with civil rights violations, it will be because people like Al Sharpton stirred up enough racists in the streets for Obama to put down his 9 iron long enough to get his Holder puppet out. I don’t know about you, but I would expect some civil rights violations getting filed against OJ Simpson… Here we go… Complete Bull$hit.
UPDATE – 08/29/13 – In a speech at the social action luncheon of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority, Holder pledged that the Justice Department would “continue to act in a manner that is consistent with the facts and the law” and would work to “alleviate tensions, address community concerns and promote healing” in response to the case. People! Zimmerman was found not guilty. Get over it!

First of all, who gives a single solitary shit about Lindsay Lohan? Apparently Oprah Winfrey does as she has agreed to produce an eight-part docu-series about Lohan’s ‘journey to rebuild her career and stay sober.’ I’m laughing so loud I think my small intestines are coming out! Career? Please… And to stay sober? She is way too much of a party-girl for that. This means one thing and one thing only – MONEY. Lohan is just spent and her career is non-existent. She needs the cash to pay her lawyers and to support her habit. With any luck, she’ll OD on something and save us the trouble. I personally wouldn’t waste my time on this.
UPDATE – 08/15/13 – What did I tell you? She wants the cash! Vanity Fair is reporting that Oprah is giving Lindsay Lohan $2 million and a couple of flunkees to get her through the interview. Her lawyers are probably happy; they can finally get paid!
Whistleblower Edward Snowden claims that American & multinational telecom companies collaborate with the NSA. Well Duh! Of course!, do you really think the NSA needs to collaborate with anyone to read your email? Let’s get real; you should have no expectation of privacy when communicating digitally. Period. There are steps you can take to secure your online presence and while some methods work better than others, I prefer Tor. As for your data, any fully vetted public-key cryptosystem such as PGP (with an appropriate key length) should meet most peoples needs. Most people. For those of you looking to up your game in data encryption, the Villainous VooDoo has been hard at work on something. Stay tuned…
UPDATE – 08/16/13 – It seems the NSA has been quite busy infringing on our privacy rights. A newly leaked NSA audit documents 2,776 violations of privacy rules or court orders, mostly involving unauthorized collection of data on Americans or eavesdropping on foreign intelligence targets who entered the United States. Watch what you say, big brother is listening…
UPDATE – 08/21/13 – A new report by the Wall Street Journal says the NSA relies on extensive collaboration with domestic telecommunications companies to get access to Internet traffic. “The programs, code-named Blarney, Fairview, Oakstar, Lithium and Stormbrew, among others, filter and gather information at major telecommunications companies.” Filtering occurs at more than a dozen “major Internet junctions.”
I appreciate a fine watch as much as the next guy but I don’t have the budget to support my habit. I tend to not pay more than $300.00 for a timepiece and in my opinion, beyond that you are paying for a brand name and not much else. I’m all about function over style and what catches my eye in a wristwatch is a large (not bullshit rapper large) face with easy to read markings with a second-hand. I like chronographs vs. digital, leather/rubber wrist bands instead of metal. I can’t stand a watch that ‘flops around’ on my wrist. I’ve had plenty of Casio, Citizen and Seiko pieces over the years and they were and still are all fine timepieces. They all kept accurate time, took a beating, etc. No issues.
I recently found myself bored with my daily selection and would usually put on a small digital watch to get out the door. Thought the day I would occasionally glance at it to see where I stood in my indentured servitude to ‘the man’ and in doing so I would perpetuate my problem. Enter the Meister Aviator.
As soon as I took the watch out of the box, I loved it. I excitedly set the time and ran across the only criticism I have which is not being able to set the date without winding the hour & minute hands through a full 24 hours to advance the date indicator. Although the watch was designed for an aviators needs, I think it functions equally well in the field. I like the matte finish on the stainles steel case and the canvas strap feels good on my wrist. In the dark, the dial indicators glow just enough to read the time at close range so no worries about being stealthy. The chronograph offers a simple start/stop & reset buttons for the hour and minute indicators adding to the clean look. I like it. Almost instantly I began receiving complements and inqueries into the watch. Cool.
A wristwatch is one of those things that defines the man. It tells you something about the man wearing it and it’s a conversation starter. If you are looking for a wristwatch that isn’t boring, has a clean look and functions well, give Meister a look. Don’t expect to be disappointed.
